Mumbai: KKR-owned Healthium Medtech and Temasek-backed Romsons Group are the major contenders to acquire an about 70-80% stake in Delhi-based medical devices manufacturer and distributor BL Lifesciences, said people aware of the development.

The company is likely to be valued ₹1,800-2,000 crore, the people said. KPMG is advising the promoters on the stake sale. BL Lifesciences, a fourth-generation family-owned business, primarily focuses on products for cardiac surgery, critical care, interventional cardiology, anaesthesia and surgical care.

Its portfolio spans perfusion systems such as heart-lung packs, oxygenators, cardioplegia sets; cath-lab kits, central venous catheters; invasive pressure-monitoring systems; and a broad range of surgical consumables including blood bags, instruments and wound-care products.

KKR and Temasek spokespersons declined to comment. An email sent to BL Lifesciences managing director Sunil Aggarwal did not elicit any responses till press time Monday.

KKR acquired Healthium in 2024 for ₹7,000 crore, outbidding a consortium of Mankind Pharma, ChrysCapital and Novo Holdings.
